HR 1057, S 560, The Promoting Automotive Repair, Trade, and Sales (PARTS) Act; Amends federal patent law to allow for the sale and use of non-OEM repair parts 30 months after a motor vehicle is first offered for public sale. We support these bills which will allow continued competition in the repair parts market, thus holding down auto repair and insurance costs for our policyholders.

HR 5143 Transparent Insurance Standards Act of 2016 - Support for this bill, which seeks to direct U.S. federal negotiators (Treasury and the Federal Reserve) to work with state insurance regulators and preserve the state-based insurance regulatory system in negotiations on international insurance standards.
S 1086 International Insurance Capital Standards Accountability Act and HR 2141 Domestic Insurance and International Capital Standards Act - in particular those aspects of both bills that promote greater transparency -- with Congress, the insurance industry and consumers -- on U.S. involvement in the development of international capital standards.
HR 4248 FSOC Designation Review Act - monitoring possible changes in review process for nonbank financial institutions.

HR 1748 Safe Building Codes Incentive Act - we support this legislation to improve state and local building codes. This is an important step in reducing losses caused by storms and other events.
