Support increased FY 2020 appropriations for Centers for Disease Control sexually transmitted disease prevention and control, Public Health Emergency Preparedness and Hospital Preparedness programs. Support easing the Medicaid IMD exclusion and the Medicaid inmate exclusion. Support amending 42 C.F.R Part 2 to align with HIPAA (H.R. 2062 and S. 1012). Support the Prevention and Public Health Fund, including HR 3447. Support medically assisted treatment , including H.R. 2482 and S. 2017. Support H.R. 2848 to address "Valley Fever." Support school based mental health programs, including H.R. 1109. Support women's cancer screenings, including H.R. 3129. Support TB elimination, including H.R. 3080 and S. 834. Support gun safety legislation from a public health perspective, including H.R. 8/S. 42, H.R 1186/S. 447, H.R. 1236/S. 506, H.R. 2708/S. 1462. Support a moratorium on the Medicaid Fiscal Accountability Regulation (MFAR), emergency public health funding, Medicaid federal medical assistance percentage increase, and funding for public hospitals in coronavirus relief legislation including the Heroes Act (H.R. 6800) and subsequent developing legislation.
