Debt limit legislation - strongly oppose a proposal to cut funding for Medicare and using Medicare reductions to pay for non-Medicare related spending.
DSH Reduction Relief Act of 2013 (S. 1555) - Urged Congress to support legislation which would delay scheduled reductions
to the Medicare and Medicaid Disproportionate Share Hospital (DSH) programs to allow states additional time to determine the level of health care coverage expansions.
House FY 2015 Budget Resolution - Urged Congress to oppose the House budget resolution due to drastic cuts to the Medicaid, Medicare, and Food Stamps programs.
Medicare and Medicaid Electronic Health Record (EHR) Incentive Program - Urged Congress to Extend the timelines providers have to implement 2014 Edition Certified EHR software and meet the Program requirements (Stages 1 and 2) through 2015 as well as add flexibility in Meaningful Use requirements to permit as many providers as possible to achieve success in the program.
S. 2110 - The Medicare SGR Repeal and Beneficiary Access Improvement Act of 2014 -Urged Senators to enact legislation to repeal and replace the Medicare physician payment formula, specifically the sustainable growth rate (SGR), to ensure adequate Medicare reimbursement for physicians who treat our seniors.
Urged The Department of Health and Human Services to continue to promote the Medicaid final rule which ensure that individuals rights and protections under Medicaid are upheld, when considering state Medicaid 1115 waivers.
Urged Congress to extend the HEN program for at least an additional year.
S. 569 and H.R. 1179, Improving Access to Medicare coverage Act of 2013. The bill amends the Medicare statute's definition of "post-hospital extended care services" to clarify that Mediare beneficiaries in observation are deemed inpatients in the hospital.
H.R. 1920, Disproportionate Share Hospital (DSH) Reduction Relief Act of 2013. The bill would eliminate 2014 and 2015 Medicaid DSH cuts and delay Medicare DSH cuts contained in the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (ACA) for two years, until 2016.

S. 641 & H.R. 1666, the Palliative Care and Hospice Education and Training Act (PCHETA). To amend the Public Health Service Act to increase the number of permanent faculty in palliative care at accredited allopathic and osteopathic medical schools, nursing schools, and other programs, to promote education in palliative care and hospice, and to support the development of faculty careers in academic palliative medicine.
H.R. 1666, the Patient Centered Quality Care for Life Act. The bill would begin to mitigate barriers to pallative care through new efforts in research, professional development, and outreach.
