Budget: An increased 302B Allocation for USDA in Agriculture Appropriations for FY 2023.
Double the maximum Pell Grant and increase overall funding, increase Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant, increase Work-Study funding, GearUp funding. H.R. 8295, no Senate bill yet.
Appropriations research: Increase NSF to at least $10 billion in FY 2023, increase EPA Science and Technology research, NASA Science funding increase, increase Manufacturing Extension Partnership, NIST, NOAA Ocean and Atmospheric Research and Commerce research funding for Manufacturing USA and advanced manufacturing institutes. FY 2023 appropriations bill H.R. 8256 - No Senate bill number released yet. Senate draft bills are posted on committee website.
Increase USDA research (NIFA, AFRI, Hatch) and extension (Smith-Lever and McIntire-Stennis) accounts. H.R. 8239 no Senate bill number yet for FY 2023.
Increase NIH research and translational research in FY 2023. Support the creation and funding of ARPA-H. H.R. 8295
Support increased research funding for DOD 6.1 research in H.R. 8236 and increased research funding for FY 2023 for DOD 6.1 research. There is no Senate bill number yet, but there is a draft bill on the website.
Support additional research and development at DOE ARPA-E, Nuclear Energy, EERE and Office of Science research accounts and the CEMI Manufacturing Institutes. H.R. 8255 is the House bill for FY 2023 appropriations, the Senate has released a draft bill but not assigned a bill number yet.
