Draft Guidance for Industry #187: Regulation of Genetically Engineered Animals Containing Heritable Ribosomal DNA (rDNA) Constructs via the Dockets Division. The guidance document clarifies that the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act (FFDCA or the Act) new animal drug provisions and its implementing regulations apply to the recombinant DNA construct in genetically engineered (GE) animals.
