Medicare Point of Order. S.Amdt. 601 to S.Con.Res. 11: proposal to establish a point of order against legislation to privatize Medicare, cut guaranteed benefits, increase beneficiary out-of-pocket spending or to turn Medicare into a premium support plan.
Medicare Provider Payments. H.R. 2, Medicare Access and CHIP Reauthorization Act of 2015: provisions replacing the sustainable growth rate (SGR) formula; expanding means testing of Medicare Parts B and D; requiring a Medigap Plan deductible; and making the Qualified Individual (QI) program and the therapy caps exceptions process permanent.
Medicare Part D Negotiation of Drug Prices. Social Security Disability Insurance. H.Res. 5, Adopting Rules for the 114th Congress: provision (Section 3, Subsection (q)) creating a point of order against legislation to reallocate funds from the Social Security Old Age and Survivors Insurance (OASI) Trust Fund to the Disability Insurance Trust Fund unless it is accompanied by benefit cuts or tax increases that improve the solvency of the combined trust funds.
The Older Americans Act. S. 192, Older Americans Act Reauthorization Act of 2015: proposals related to the reauthorization of the Older Americans Act.
Social Security Commission. H.R. 1578, Social Security Commission Act of 2015: proposal to establish a commission on Social Securitys long-term solvency and to require the proposed commission to make recommendations for achieving solvency of the Social Security trust funds for 75 years.
Social Security Expansion. H.R. 1391, Social Security 2100 Act: proposals to strengthen Social Securitys financing and provide additional funding to improve benefits by extending and then eliminating the cap on payroll taxes while implementing a small, gradual increase in workers and employers contributions to Social Security.
