The working group must report monthly regarding resources available to consumers, public enforcement actions, and related consumer complaints.

S.4117 - Paycheck Protection Small Business Forgiveness Act. This bill modifies loan forgiveness under the Paycheck Protection Program established to support small businesses in response to COVID-19 (i.e., coronavirus disease 2019).
S.4459 - CARES Congressional Oversight Commission Diversity Act of 2020. The bill would amend the CARES Act to modify the membership requirements of the Congressional Oversight Commission to ensure that groups disproportionately impacted by COVID-19 and the resulting economic recession are represented on the Commission.
S.Res.711 - A resolution calling on the President of the United States to take executive action to broadly cancel Federal student loan debt.
S.4321 - Continuing Small Business Recovery and Paycheck Protection Program Act. This bill establishes funding for, expands, and provides additional economic assistance to small businesses in response to COVID-19 (i.e., coronavirus disease 2019)
S.4255 - Jobs and Neighborhood Investment Act. The legislation would provide eligible community development financial institutions (CDFIs) and Minority Depository Institutions (MDIs) with capital, liquidity, and operational capacity, to expand the flow of credit into underserved, minority, and historically disadvantaged communities, helping small businesses stay afloat and expand operations, while providing affordable access to credit for lower income borrowers.
S.3742 - RELIEF for Main Street Act. This bill establishes for one year the Small Business Local Relief Program, which shall allocate resources to states, local governments, and Native American tribes for providing assistance to certain small businesses and nonprofits that have lost revenue due to COVID-19 (i.e., coronavirus disease 2019).
S.4614 - Postal Banking Act. The Postal Banking Act would re-establish postal banking to provide financial security to millions of Americans in low-income and rural communities and create approximately $9 billion in annual revenue and strengthen USPS.
H.R.6395 - William M. (Mac) Thornberry National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2021. This bill authorizes FY2021 appropriations and sets forth policies for Department of Defense (DOD) programs and activities, including military personnel strengths. It does not provide budget authority, which is provided in subsequent appropriations legislation.
H.Amdt.843 to H.R.6395. An amendment numbered 17 printed in House Report 116-457 to extend CARES student loan protections for private student loan borrowers who were left out of the CARES Act. It also amendment extends the private student loan protections to September 30, 2021.
H.Amdt.840 to H.R.6395. Amendment provides up to $10,000 in immediate assistance to pay down the balance of private student loans, and requires the servicer to modify the loan when borrower payments resume.
S.4237 - Student Loan Fairness Act. The Student Loan Fairness Act (S. 4237) will extend the CARES Act student loan relief to recipients of Perkins loans and commercially-held FFEL loans by covering the cost of interest and suspending monthly payments for the period of March 13 through September 30, 2020, and suspending all involuntary collection, such as administrative wage garnishment or offsets from tax refunds, for this period.
H.R. 68 Housing Fairness Act. This bill authorizes funds for HUD to prevent housing discrimination through the use of nationwide testing, increases funds for the Fair Housing Initiative Program, and provides grants to private entities to study housing discrimination.
S. 404Coronavirus Housing Counseling Improvement Act. This bill provides funding for the Neighborhood Reinvestment Corporation (NeighborWorks) to support housing counseling services for homeowners, renters, people experiencing/risk of homelessness navigate housing options and rights during the COVID-19 crisis. Bill also requires that no less than 40% of the $700 million fund is targeted to counseling organizations that serve minority and low-income homeowners and renters.
H.R. 3154Homeownership for DREAMers Act. This bill prohibits federal mortgage providers from limiting insurance eligibility on the basis of the mortgagor's participation in the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals Program.
S. __Mapping Housing Discrimination Act. To authorize a grant program for educational institutions to analyze, digitize, and map historic records relating to housing discrimination.
S. 787American Housing and Economic Mobility Act. This bill supports affordable housing and fair housing by investing in various housing programs (National Housing Trust Fund, CDBG, etc), providing down payment assistance, and expanding the Fair Housing Act's proteections.
H.R. __Downpayment Toward Equity Act. This bill provides downpayment assistance to first-generation homebuyers to address multigeneration inequities in access to homeownership.
HR 1319 - American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 - This bill provides additional relief to address the continued impact of COVID-19 (i.e., coronavirus disease 2019) on the economy, public health, state and local governments, individuals, and businesses.
H. Res. 100 - This resolution calls on the President to take executive action to cancel up to $50,000 in federal student loan debt for borrowers. Further, it encourages the President to (1) ensure that borrowers have no tax liability from the debt cancellation, (2) ensure that the debt cancellation helps close racial wealth gaps, and (3) pause student loan payments and interest accumulation on federal student loans for the duration of the COVID-19 (i.e., coronavirus disease 2019) pandemic.
S. 355 - COVID-19 Medical Debt Collection Relief Act - This bill temporarily limits certain activities to collect medical debts by health care providers that apply for, or accept, COVID-19 (i.e., coronavirus 2019) financial relief.
S. 210 - Protecting Job Opportunities for Borrowers Act - This bill prohibits a state from suspending, revoking, or denying a state-issued driver's license, teaching license, or professional license based solely on an individual's default or delinquency on a federal student loan or health education loan. Further, an aggrieved individual may bring a civil action against a state for violations.
HR 166 - Fair Lending for All Act - This bill modifies provisions related to prohibited credit discrimination.
S 3389 - Expanding Access to Lending Options Act - This bill allows the National Credit Union Administration Board to increase the federal credit union loan maturity cap from 15 to 20 years.

HR 1491, the Fair Debt Collection Practices for Servicemembers Act - This bill prohibits a debt collector from representing to service members that failure to cooperate with a debt collector will result in a reduction of rank, a revocation of security clearance, or military prosecution. The Government Accountability Office must report on the impact of this prohibition on the timely delivery of information to service members, military readiness, and national security.
HR 2498, the Private Loan Disability Discharge Act - A legislative analyst in the Congressional Research Service will begin analyzing this legislation after text becomes available.
HR 2537, the Consumer Protection for Medical Debt Collections Act - To amend the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act to provide a timetable for the collection of medical debt by debt collectors, to amend the Fair Credit Reporting Act to prohibit consumer reporting agencies from issuing consumer reports containing information about debts related to medically necessary procedures, and for other purposes.

HR 2572, the Stop Debt Collection Abuse Act - To amend the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act to restrict the debt collection practices of certain debt collectors.
HR __, the Debt Collection Practices Harmonization Act - This bill applies certain consumer protections regarding debt collection to debt owed to a state. It also specifies that existing limits on civil damages awarded for abusive practices by a debt collector must be adjusted for inflation.
HR 2458, the Non-Judicial Foreclosure Debt Collection Clarification Act - To amend the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act to clarify that the definition of a debt collector includes, in all cases, a person in a business the principal purpose of which is the enforcement of security interests.
