H.R. 4872: Health Care and Education Reconciliation Act of 2010 - Advocated for legislative fixes in conjuction with H.R. 3590 Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act of 2010
H.R. 3962: Affordable Health Care for America Act of 2009 - To provide affordable, quality health care for all Americans and reduce the growth in health care spending, and for other purposes.
Health Reform - Advocated to provide affordable health care coverage for all, protect and improve the Medicaid safety net, ensure hospital payment reductions coincide with coverage increases, preserve provider conscience protections & maintains current law on abortion, maintain consistency in requirements for charitable hospitals, and narrows the Medicare hospital readmissions policy & supports delivery system reforms to improve quality of care.
S.AMDT.2991: Ammends H.R. 3590 Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act of 2009 - Provides states with the option to give legal immigrant families equitable access to health insurance.

Medicare and Medicaid Issues: Advocacy regarding meaningful use criteria, eligible hospitals, hospital-based eligible professionals, Medicaid incentive program, and regulatory impact analysis.
Medicare and Medicaid DHS payments - Advocated in support of continued Medicare and Medicaid disproportionate share hospital payments.
Medicare issues - Advocacy regarding physician supervision for outpatient therapeutic services; readmissions proposals, bundling of provider payments; quality improvements for pay-for-performance.
Medicaid issues - Advocacy regarding expanding eligibility levels, auto enrollment and presumptive eligibility, and limited co-pays.

Provider Conscience Clause Protection - Advocated for no federal funding for abortion in health care reform legislation as well as retaining health care provider and institution conscience clause protections.
S. 1298 FY 2010 Department of Homeland Security Appropriations Bill - Amendment 1429 would extend authorization for the Special Immigrant Non-Minister portion of the Religious Worker Visa program for a period of three years, and includes provisions that direct the Department of Homeland Security to continue to build on its success in ensuring that the program is properly used.
H.R. 3293 Departments of Labor, Health and Human Services, and Education Appropriations Bill - Advocating the continued inclusion of the Hyde and Weldon amendments which would prohibit federal funding of abortions in the Medicaid program and protect hospitals and other institutional and individual health care providers should they decline to provide, pay for or refer for abortions.
