S. 2012 - Energy Policy Modernization Act, Amendment addresses the retail exclusion under OSHAs PSM program, mirrors language that was included in the Joint Explanatory Statement of the FY2016 Omnibus Appropriations bill, with the addition of the requirement of an independent third party cost impact analysis. Amendments 3016, 2977 and 3047 would hinder the investment that drives innovation in biofuel space.

S. 2609, the Biotech Labeling Solutions Act - Chairman Roberts proposal is fully consistent with Farm Bureau policy on biotechnology. It protects interstate commerce and prevents state-by-state labeling laws. It will direct USDA to initiate formal rulemaking to set definitions and standards for the labeling of products that may contain ingredients derived from agricultural biotechnology. The bill also contains an educational component to inform consumers about the safety of GMOs. Roberts Substitute Amendment 3450 - The compromise bill provides strong preemption and a tight definition on bioengineering. Within one year, USDA will develop standards and definitions for the voluntarily labeling of foods from biotech.

H.J. Res. 59, a Joint Resolution of Disapproval of EPA's WOTUS Rules - provides for congressional disapproval of the WOTUS rule under the provisions of the Congressional Review Act.
Appropriations Rider on EPAs Mandate to Require Farmers to Disclosure Pesticide Information - restrictive language to put on the House Interior Appropriations bill to protect farmers from having to divulge farm-specific pesticide use data.

H.R. 1147, the Legal Workforce Act - The Legal Workforce Act requires employers to check the work eligibility of all future hires through the web-based E-Verify system. The bill requires agricultural employers to use mandatory E-verify pursuant to the requirements of the bill no later than 36 months after the date of enactment.
