Work on FAA Reauthorization and on proposals that would establish FAA as the sole regulator of drones and prempt all state and local regulations relating thereto. Work in support of amendments to improve remedies and insurance coverage under DOHSA, highway safety, maritime and aviation laws. Work in opposition to amendments that would reduce or eliminate the remedies available to foreign seamen under U.S. law which were attached to Senate legislation reauthorizing the Federal Maritime Administration. Work to limit preemptive effects of S. 1885, the AV START Act, authorizing and establishing rules governing the introduction of autonomous vehicles in the 50 states.
