The association follows the federal budget and appropriations process as it relates to agencies, and their respective policies, that have jurisdiction over rural telecommunications matters. Primarily the association monitors the Federal Communications Commission(FCC), the National Telecommunications and Information Administration(NTIA), and the Rural Utilities Service(RUS), and the budget, programs, and policies of each. During the reporting period, the association focused on the following:
S. 2976 - Agriculture, Rural Development, Food and Drug Administration, and Related Agencies Appropriations Act, 2019 - all sections.
S. 3107 - Financial Services and General Government Appropriations Act, 2019 - all sections.
H.R. 5895 - Energy and Water, Legislative Branch, and Military Construction and Veterans Affairs Appropriations Act, 2019 - Sec. 208-209.
H.R. 5961 - Agriculture, Rural Development, Food and Drug Administration, and Related Agencies Appropriations Act, 2019 - all sections.
H.R. 6258 - Financial Services and General Government Appropriations Act, 2019 - all sections.
