Economic Recovery Plan: NETWORK supports inclusion of
- a two year increase in per meal support in SNAP and raising of the ceiling for eligibility
- increase in the number of weeks of unemployment benefits - with additional weeks in high unemployment areas
- further increase in LIHEAP funding
- increase in the percentage of matching funds covered by the federal government for programs such as Medicaid, child care, and CDBG
- two year funding of the National Housing Trust Fund
- funding of job training and jobs for less-skilled workers, including those in green renovation and construction
- job creation programs, including those in child care, education, and other non-construction areas
