FY2024 Energy and Water Appropriations: Support increased funding for Reclamation programs including: CALFED, WIIN Storage projects, Desalination, water recycling, ecosystem restoration projects, WaterSmart, Colorado River Salinity Control Program, DOIs water conservation obligations under the DCP, cleanup of a waste disposal site near Hoover Dam, and Reclamations Safety of Dams program. Support report language clarifying the Reclamation Safety of Dams Act cost share applies to all water users. Support increased funding for DOEs Moab Uranium Mill Tailing Remedial Action Project.
FY2024 Interior-Environment Appropriations: Support funding for the USGS Water and Science Program, EPA Clean Water and Drinking Water State Revolving Funds, WIFIA, National Priorities Water Research Grant Program, and the Innovative Water Technologies Grant Program.
Distribution of Inflation Reduction Act funding for short and long term projects to raise the water level in Lake Mead and long term water conservation projects in the Colorado River Basin. Implementation of the Bureau of Reclamations large-scale recycled water program created in the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law.
Additional funding for the low-income household water assistance program at the Department of Health and Human Services.
