Refugees, including congressional consultation for PD, influencing final PD, and appropriations for humanitarian assistance and refugee resettlement
Asylum issues, including family separation & family detention, Asylum & refugee cases
Cameroon: Worked on human right violations by the armed forces and armed separatist groups. Briefed department of State and Congressional staff.
Ethiopia: Briefed Congressional staff on ongoing human rights concerns and agenda for human rights reform.
Mauritania: Engaged with Department of State around issue of ongoing slavery. Worked in coalition to press ICE to refrain from deportation of Black Mauritanians back to Mauritania including issuing public statement.
Yemen: lobbying - appropriations. Call on congress to use Senate Foreign Operations and Related Programs Process to end all military sales and support to the Saudi led coalition

Saudi Arabia: Womens right to drive activists, HRDs, Jamal Khashoggi
Poland: issue advocacy: raise awareness with Amnesty International membership on Polands crackdown on judiciary
Hungary: lobbying: Lobby for reinstitution of $700,000 DRL NOFO media freedom in Hungary
Russia: issue advocacy - communicate importance of continued engagement on Russia human rights violations to membership base
North Korea - pushing for North Korea human rights abuses to be raised in the context of the North Korea discussions
China - pushing China to release human rights defenders currently detained, to support the close of Xinjiang so-called re-education centers, and to uphold its international human rights commitments
S.2060 Bill (Burma Human Rights and Freedom Act) the Burma Human Rights and Freedom Act. H.R.4223, the Burma Act. This bill would hold senior military officials accountable for the ethnic cleansing that took place in Rakhine State. Lobbying consisted of pushing the legislation to pass onto the National Defense Authorization Act and to pass it out of the Senate.
