Support for the Obama administrations Climate Action Plan, specifically the Clean Power Plan, which sets the first national limits on carbon pollution from power plants.
Encourage the Obama administration to develop smart and reasonable methane standards for the oil and gas industry through EPA and Interior rulemakings, including the Methane and Waste Prevention Rule.
Call for strong reforms to the federal coal leasing program overseen by the Department of the Interior, support DOIs ONRR proposed rule to eliminate captive transactions for federal coal leases and support strengthening the final rule, and call for the rejection of Alton Coals proposal to expand production on public lands.
Support the Department of Energy setting increased efficiency standards for gas furnaces and oppose legislative efforts to delay them, including the relevant section of S.2012, the Energy Policy Modernization Act of 2015.
Support Senate Amendment 2965 to S.2012, the Energy Policy Modernization Act of 2015, which would increase funding for ARPA-E
Support Senate Amendment 3115 to S.2012, which would establish a national energy efficiency resource standards (EERS).

Oppose Senate Amendment 2996 to S.2012, which would require federal agencies to eliminate an existing public protection before offering a new one.
Oppose the Denying Americans the Right to Know (DARK) Act, which would prohibit states from being able to require the labeling of genetically modified organisms (GMOs).
Oppose H.R.712, the Sunshine for Regulatory Decrees and Settlements Act of 2015, which would weaken environmental protections by undermining the federal rulemaking process.
Oppose H.R.2406, the SHARE Act of 2015, which contains harmful measures undermining the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA).
Oppose efforts to legislatively undermine the EPAs ozone standards.
Support international climate agreement reached in Paris in December 2015.
Work to strengthen S. 697, the Frank R. Lautenberg Chemical Safety for the 21st Century Act, to update the Toxic Substances Control Act to better protect public health and the environment from toxic chemicals.
Work to strengthen H.R. 2576, the TSCA Modernization Act of 2015, to better protect public health and the environment from toxic chemicals.
Oppose S. 2609, the Denying Americans the Right to Know Act, which would restrict consumers right to know about genetically modified organisms in their food.

Oppose H.R. 1644, the STREAM Act, a bill that blocks protections for drinking water in mining communities.
Oppose H.R.3797, the SENSE Act, which would weaken clean air protections for power plants burning coal refuse or waste.
Support S. 2588, the Grants and Education To Tackle Homeowner Exposure to Lead Ensuring America Drinks Only from Unpolluted Taps Act of 2016 (GET THE LEAD OUT Act of 2016), S. 2587, the Copper and Lead Evaluation and Reporting Act of 2016 (CLEAR Act), S. 2586, the Thorough Evaluation of State Testing to Kick-start Investigations before Damage is Suffered Act of 2016 (TEST KIDS Act), and S. 2583, the Firm, Unwavering National Dedication to Water Act of 2015 (FUND Water Act), that would address the problem of lead contamination in our nations drinking water.
