Support for: the Resident Education Deferred Interest (REDI) Act, to provide interest free deferment for physician and dental residents (HR 4122/S 3658); the Protecting Our Students by Terminating Graduate Rates that Add to Debt Act (HR 4631) to reinstate eligibility for graduate and professional students with financial need to receive Direct Subsidized Stafford Loans, which are now only available to undergraduate students; the the Student Loan Refinancing Act (HR 2160) to enable borrowers to refinance their federal student loans on multiple occasions to take advantage of lower interest rates; and the Student Loan Refinancing and Recalculation Act (HR 1918) to provide a chance for borrowers to refinance their federal student loans when interest rates are lower, eliminate loan origination fees and allow medical and dental residents to defer payments until after completing their residency programs, as well as delay the accrual of interest for many low- and middle-income borrowers while they are in school; the Student Loan Interest Deduction Act of 2021 (HR 4726) to double the student loan interest deduction (from $2,500 to $5,000) and eliminate the income limits that prevent those with higher incomes from reaping the benefit; the Indian Health Service Health Professions Tax Fairness Act of 2022 (HR 7539/S 2874) to allow dentists participating in the Indian Health Service Loan Repayment Program to exclude interest and principal payments from their federal income taxes, as well as certain benefits received by those in the Indian Health Professions Scholarships Program; the Dental Loan Repayment Assistance Act (HR 1285/S 449) to allow full-time faculty members participating in the Dental Faculty Loan Repayment Program (DFLRP) to exclude the amount of the loan forgiveness from their federal income taxes; and the HIV Epidemic Loan-Repayment Program Act (HR 2295) that would offer up to $250,000 in educational loan repayment to dentists, physicians, and other health care professionals in exchange for up to five years of service at Ryan White-funded clinical sites and in health profession shortage areas.

Support for reforms to the Medicare system to resolve deficiencies in the Medicare physician fee schedule, including HR 8800 which would partially prevent CY 2023 Medicare provider reimbursement cuts due to budget neutrality requirements.
Support for Medicaid Dental Benefit Act (H.R. 4439/S 3166)to provide comprehensive and consistent adult dental Medicaid benefits across the country for those who cannot otherwise afford oral healthcare.
Support for regulatory efforts to develop a coding structure to allow hospitals and ASCs to be sufficiently paid for allowing for dental procedures that take place in their facilities.

- Support for H.R.4555, the Oral Health Literacy and Awareness Act to authorize the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) to implement an evidence-based education campaign to promote oral health literacy among vulnerable populations over a five-year period.
- Support for the PREVENT Pandemics Act (S 3799) that would address a number of drug and supply shortages
- Support for HR 675 that would empower Attorneys General and their relevant agencies to go after unscrupulous vendors who price gouge during critical events such as national pandemics
- Support for S 2595 that would provide grants to manufacturers of critical drugs such as sterile injectables to invest in quality management and ensure extensive and consistent availability of such drugs.
-Support for Senate passage of the Oral Health Literacy and Awareness Act of 2022 (S 5073), which would authorize the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) to establish an evidence-based education campaign to promote oral health literacy (OHL) among the at-risk populations served by HRSA programs.
