Clean Stove Act (H.R. 4244, S.2576), a measure to authorize a $500 tax credit to encourage consumers to remove their old, polluting conventional wood stoves and replace them with a new technology EPA-certified wood stove or pellet or biomass stove.
H.R. 5351, the Renewable Energy and Energy Conservation Tax Act of 2008, and specifically Section 232, a $300 consumer tax credit for the purchase of a pellet stove.
Farm Bill (H.R. 2419), a section regarding the Community Wood Energy Program, which would authorize a grant program for state and local governments and communities to use low-grade wood biomass in community wood energy systems for state and locally owned businesses such as schools, town halls, and courthouses.
Renewable Energy Tax Parity Act (H.R. 3107, S. 1697), a measure to expand an existing federal tax credit created under the Energy Policy Act of 2005 (Section 1335) to include biomass renewable energy appliances for residential use to provide heating or hot water.
