Super Committee/Budget Control Act - NETWORK strongly opposes provisions to reduce funding for SNAP and other nutrition programs, particularly those affecting children and the elderly.
NETWORK encourges legislators to support the 2011 Fighting Poverty with Faith Mobilization, focusing attention on the needs of
nutrition assistance, spending a week on the SNAP budget.

S. 365/ H.J Res. 1 - Budget Control Act of 2011 - NETWORK opposes any balanced budget amendment
NETWORK strongly opposes any Global Spending Cap
NETWORK strongly supports increased revenue as at least 50% of deficit reduction.
2012 Budget - NETWORK supports preservation and significant funding of the Supplemental Security Income program
NETWORK supports full funding for the International Affairs Budget for Fy 2012, as requested by the President
S. 1660 - American Jobs Act of 2011 - NETWORK strongly supports the American Jobs Act.
NETWORK urges members of the Joint Select Committee to consider excessive Pentagon spending as a source for much of the deficit reduction through spending cuts.
NETWORK strongly urges members of the Joint Select Committee to protect vulnerable populations through support of discretionary as well as mandatory programs ensuring health and safety (nutrition, housing, Medicaid, ...)

bring all troops home by Dec. 2011, as it indicated thousands would be remaining.

HR 2981 - Restoring Protection to Victims of Persecution Act - NETWORK supports and end to the one-year deadline for filing asylum applications, it leads to greater expenditure of resources, pushing more cases into immigration courts.
HR 2830, S1301 - Trafficking Victims Protection Reauthorization Act - NETWORK strongly supports increased funds in FY 2013 to combat human trafficking and modern slavery
NETWORK opposes any cuts to Migration and Refugee Assistance International Disaster Assistance and Emergency Refugee and Migration Assistance at this time when hundreds of thousands are moving in the Horn of Africa, this would have a devastating impact on displaced persons around the world.
HR 3531 - HELP Separated Children Act - NETWORK strongly supports this bill which would reform protocols to protect children, families and communities from unintended consequences of immigration enforcement.
HR 1932 - Keep Our Communities Safe Act - NETWORK opposes this bill which would indefinitely detain thousands of immigrants, including asylum seekers and victims of torture
HR 2885 - Legal Workforce Act - NETWORK opposes this bill which would have a devastating impact on the agricultural industry, farmworkers and their families, and rural communities.
H.R. 2164 the Legal Workforce Act (E-verify) - NETWORK strongly opposes this bill.

NETWORK opposes mives to reduct funding for HUD programs which provide housing assistance to low- to extremely-low income families, in the THUD appropriations for FY2012
NETWORK asks the Supercommittee to ensure that low-income households to not experience increased housing or other cost burdens due to cuts in assistance programs.
NETWORK supports full funding of the LIHEAP program in the FY 2012 budget/CR negotiations.
