Energy tax extenders, including pay-fors that would increase tax on oil and gas industry. The tax package had several bill numbers and had been introduced under a variety of names. The last version was entitled The Energy Improvement and Extension Act of 2008. Ultimately the package was included in the financial system bailout bill.
