Health care reform legislation moving through Congress focussed specifically on issues that effect individuals with a disability like non-discrimination, what is in the covered pakage, corporate wellness programs. One issue we really focussed on was the CLASS Act that would create a voluntary long-term insurance program. Could also add the Genetic Nondiscrimination Act regulations.

Our work here was focussed on helping individuals with disabilities achieve employment through legislation like the Rehab Act which includes the PAIR and CAP programs. Also, working to ensure that employment needs of individuals with a disability are considered in these tough economic times like through stimulus payments, federal employment, and other means.
