Support democracy reforms, including public matching funds systems for congressional and presidential campaigns, automatic voter registration, redistricting reforms, and strengthened campaign finance laws.
Support restoring the voting rights protections previously included in the Voting Rights Act of 1965, and support for the Freedom to Vote Act, including provisions to override voter suppression laws in the states.
Support the Election Worker Protection Act (S. 1318) to provide enhanced protections for election workers.
Support the Sustaining Our Democracy Act (S. 630) to provide federal funding to help state and local governments promote election activities, including improving the administration of federal elections, recruiting and training nonpartisan election officials and poll workers, and increasing voting access.
Support strengthening of government ethics legislation.
Support codifying the Office of Congressional Ethics (OCE), providing OCE with subpoena authority, and opposing efforts to gut the office.
Support Protecting Our Democracy Act legislation to restore the governments system of checks and balances, prevent abuses of presidential power, strengthen accountability and transparency in government, and protect Americas elections from foreign interference.
Support the DISCLOSE Act (S. 512 / H.R. 1118), to combat the flood of special-interest spending in politics and require additional disclosure requirements for corporations, labor organizations, Super PACs, and other entities.
Support legislation that would: ban Members of Congress from owning or trading individual stocks, bonds, commodities, and other similar financial instruments; require such investments be sold, transferred into widely diversified mutual funds, or placed in genuine blind trusts; extend the ban to Members spouses and dependent children; and provide an effective enforcement mechanism.
Support Senate action to report and pass an ethics code for the Supreme Court.
Support the Washington, DC Admission Act, to make Washington, DC a state (H.R. 51).
Support efforts to encourage executive departments and federal agencies to fully implement President Bidens Executive Order Promoting Access to Voting.
Support a House Ethics investigation into the activities of Representative George Santos (R-NY).
Support updating Executive Order 13526 - Classified National Security Information - regarding the proper handling of materials during the tenure of the President and Vice President, to help prevent future document mishandling by Presidents and Vice Presidents.
