NETWORK supports a reauthorization of the Violence Against Women Act which is strong in support of women affected by violence and equally strong in prosecution of those perpetrating the violence.
NETWORK urges economic justice for the families of those incarcerated, by reducing the extraordinary costs for long distance calls
to and from prisoners - many are sent far from family, and clergy.

NETWORK asks Congress to close WHINSEC. This is an unjust use of our tax dollars to continue training and arming military
leaders who are oppressing their own who attempt to organize for better working conditions.
NETWORK supports reduction of the nuclear weapon arsenal to well below the New START Treaty levels, and to push for ratification of the Comprehensive Test Ban Treaty
NETWORK strongly encourages Congress to reduce spending by the Pentagon, in ways that do not jeopardize our troops. This might include elimination of "no-bid" contracts, elimination of added funding for cost and time-overruns, and abiding by the results of an annual audit. This assumes that there will be an annual audit commencing in the next 2 years.

NETWORK opposes CMS-9995-IFC2, a rule which would deny coverage under the ACE of recipients of Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals. These young people need access to healthcare for their own safety and for that of their communities.

NETWORK strongly supports protection of civil and human rights of all people, including undocumented persons by federal agents
H.R. 6429 - STEM Jobs Act of 2012 - NETWORK is supportive of increasing the number of visas available; however NETWORK strongly opposes this bill which would limit existing visas, from the diversity visa program, to focus providing
visas for those with advanced degrees in the sciences, technology and mathematics.

H.R. 15: Middle Class Tax Cut Act - Discharge Petition 112-6 - NETWORK strongly supported this discharge petition to bring this bill to the floor.
NETWORK supported actions to eliminate the 2001 & 2003 tax cuts for the wealthies 2% in the nation, extending them for 98%
NETWORK strongly objects to a territorial tax system, as it allows more corporations to escape paying for the resources they use within the United States.

NETWORK strongly encourages Congress to abide by THE FAITHFUL BUDGET document in making appropriations and deficit
reduction work.
NETWORK strongly supports much greater cuts to Pentagon spending in order to provide for the needs of our most vulnerable
NETWORK strongly supports Congress in attempts to find common ground to reach a fiscally responsible alternative to sequestration.
NETWORK strongly urges Congress to make the needs of children a major priority in any deficit reduction, sequestration or Fiscal Cliff work.
NETWORK urges the following priorities in all fiscal actions:
- increase revenue, particularly from taxes expected from those with the createst ability to cover the costs of the nation
- reduce spending by the Pentagon
- protect people who are struggling, ensuring their access to housing, nutrition, job training and other human needs
