Supported H.R. 1637, a bill to expedite the approval process for renewable fuels under the renewable fuel standard (RFS) program. The bill considers an application to register a renewable fuel under the RFS program to be approved by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) if the fuel has been approved under any state renewable fuel program. It also establishes a deadline for the EPA to make a decision on any pending application for a renewable fuel that has not yet been approved under any state program and establishes deadlines for the EPA to make decisions on pending pathway petitions by producers to register biofuels.

Supported S. 193 and H.R. 3593, the Adopt GREET Act, which would require EPA to update its outdated lifecycle modeling for ethanol and biodiesel, specifically by adopting the latest Argonne National Labs Greenhouse Gas and Regulated Emissions and Energy Use in Transportation (GREET) Model.

Supported H.R. 1113, the Renewable Fuel Standard Integrity Act, legislation that addresses the timing and transparency issues associated with the small refinery exemption (SRE) program under the Renewable Fuel Standard (RFS).

Opposed H.R. 190, the Leave Ethanol Volumes at Existing Levels (LEVEL) Act, legislation to repeal the Renewable Fuels Standard II (RFS), leaving RFS I levels intact.

Supported S. 2262/H.R. 4254, bills to establish an income tax credit for the sale or blending of certain fuels containing ethanol.

Submitted comments on the proposed rule E15 Fuel Dispenser Labeling and Compatibility With Underground Storage Tanks that the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) announced in the final days of the Trump administration. The rule co-proposes EPA either modify the E15 label or remove the label requirement entirely. Further, EPA proposes to modify the underground storage tank (UST) regulations which offer paths that would make it easier for station owners to demonstrate compatibility with E15 and possibly higher ethanol blends in the future. EPAs proposed changes to compatibility rules would make it easier for station owners and operators to store and sell E15 using existing equipment, and changes to E15 label requirements could reduce consumer confusion and resistance to trying E15.

Sent letters to House and Senate leaders and key committee chairs, urging them to take a technology-neutral approach when making investments to accelerate the nations transition to clean energy in the transportation sector and provides recommendations for ways Congress can spend a fraction of funds being discussed in support of the electric vehicle (EV) supply chain by capitalizing on ethanols ability to make near-and-long-term reductions in greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions.

Urged USDA to include the biofuels industry in financial assistance to those who have been impacted by COVID-19 market disruptions.

Submitted comments encouraging the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) to help establish a protocol for biofuel producers and farmers to easily document the carbon intensity benefits of changes in agricultural practices, regarding USDAs climate strategy for President Bidens Executive Order on Tackling the Climate Crisis at Home and Abroad.

Supported S. 227/H.R. 1452, the Renewable Fuel Infrastructure Investment and Market Expansion Act, bills to create a renewable fuel infrastructure grant program at the United States Department of Agriculture and streamline regulatory requirements to help fuel retailers sell higher blends of ethanol.
