- Corresponded with a member of the Missouri congressional delegation to promote the inclusion of language in the Senate Appropriations legislation for the Departments of Labor and the Health and Human Services regarding an interagency initiative on workplace violence in hospitals.
- Responded to an inquiry from a member of the Missouri congressional delegation regarding a Dear Colleague letter to the Secretary of Health and Human Services and the CMS Administrator regarding changes to the wage index component of the Medicare hospital payment system.
- Asked the members of the Missouri congressional delegation in the House of Representatives to consider endorsing a Dear Colleague letter to the Secretary of Health and Human Services and the CMS Administrator regarding changes to the wage index component of the Medicare hospital payment system.
- Engaged with the staff of a member of the Missouri congressional delegation to discuss problems experienced by Missouri hospitals with the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services system of establishing and enforcing hospital regulatory standards.
- Asked the members of the Missouri congressional delegation in the House of Representatives to support H.R. 6082 and H.R. 5797, relating to the prevention and treatment of opioid abuse.
