Food and Drug Administration Spoke to staff at FDA regarding the implementation of the Family Smoking Prevention and Tobacco Control Act (PL No: 111-031).
Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Spoke to staff and sent correspondence to Secretary of HHS regarding implementation of provisions of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act related to coverage of tobacco cessation services. Spoke to staff regarding provisions of the WHO Framework Convention on Tobacco Control and the Trans-Pacific Partnership Agreement. Also met with staff to discuss U.S. positions in the negotiations surrounding global political declaration on non-communicable diseases and U.S. engagement with tobacco industry in several countries, including Indonesia, Ukraine, and Colombia.
Provided testimony at U.S. Trade Representative Stakeholder forum regarding Trans Pacific Partnership Agreement.
