In addition, actively worked with congressional delegation to stop overreaching tactics used by USDOL in Oregon. Sought support for congressional hearing regarding hot goods mechanism used by USDOL and lack of due process presented to growers. Also began discussions with congressional delegation on potentional guest worker program outside of H2a. Sought broad support for H.R. 1387. Engaged in litigation with USDOL.

Worked with congressional delegation on the best strategy to pass a farm bill (S.954 and H.R.2642) that incorporate key provisions in the Senate and House versions of the farm bill passed out of committee during the 112th Congress. Provisions sought included exemption for SPCC above ground storage capacity threshold. Activiely supported King Amendment to ensure instate commerce is not interrupted due to state statutes. Finally, continued support and sought congressional delegations support on amendment that
exempt NPDES requirement from non point sources.
