Lobbying in support of ending the remaining military retired pay and VA disability pay offsets (10%-40% disabilities and medical retirees with less than 20 years) and supporting bills includingHR303, HR333, S234; calling for improvements of benefits for those presently serving or who have served a career in the NG & R including HR690, S240, HR738; supporting the Commissary and Exchange benefit for all in the military family including retirees and those involuntarily separated from the military due to disability
HR1131. We lobbied in support of ending the SBP/DIC offset for survivors of military members who died on active duty or as a result of a service connected disability HR32 S 734 as well as equal SBP benenfits for survivors of members of the Reserve Componenets; in support of HR2272 which calls for electronic tracking of Reserve duty and calling for appropriate treatment for those who served in the blue water Navy during the Vietnam War; urging that SBP payments be allowed to be deposited into "special needs trusts" on behalf of permanently disabled adult children who are beneficiiaries of military parents S1076, HR 2245
