Support HR 1179/S 569, to solve the Medicare observation days problem by counting all time spent in a hospital bed toward the 3-day stay requirement for Medicare coverage of post-acute care.

Support HR 334, Medicare adult Day Services Act, to enable beneficiaries eligible for home health services to receive them in a certified adult day services center.

Support HR 2504/S 1332, Home Health Care Planning Improvement Act. The bill would allow Medicare coverage of home health services provided by a nurse practitioner, clinical nurse specialist, certified nurse-midwife or physician assistant under a physician's supervision.

Support S 596, Fostering Independence Through Technology, authorizing Medicare pilot projects on remote monitoring by home health agencies.

Concerned about HR 5110, SAVE Medicare Home Health Act, to repeal reimbursement rebasing adjustment for 2014 and subsequent years. LeadingAge encourages a change in focus, moving forward with value-based purchasing for home health.
