HR 508 Reauthorize the Terrorism Risk Insurance Act (TRIA) for 5 years; HR 1945 and HR 2146 (10 year TRIA ext); S. 2244 (7 years) support these bills; HR 4871 House Fin Services Comm TRIA bill (5 years) concern with program changes
HR 605 Insurance Consumer Protection and Solvency Act; take insurers out of FDIC liquidation process; support
HR 4510/S 2012 Insurance Capital Standards Clarification Act of 2014 and S 1369 Capital Standards for the Business of Insurance, support these bills to provide flexibility for the Federal Reserve in setting insurance capital requirements.

HR 737 Homeowners Defense Act - Oppose; Issue: Increased federal govt involvement with private insurance market; would only benefit a few states. HR 549 Homeowner Catastrophe Protection Act; Issue - create tax incentives for individuals and insurers to set funds aside for future for natural catastrophes
HR 1101 Homeowners and Taxpayers Protection Act of 2013 - Monitor; issues include creation of a new national catastrophe fund, and create a mechanism for pre and post funding of certain natural disaster costs.
HR 240 Homeowners Insurance Protection Act of 2013 - Issue - Should there be a federal backstop for state natural catastophe funds? We oppose this bill.
HR 1194 The National Flood Insurance Program Termination Act of 2013 - We oppose efforts to end the NFIP.

HR 1663, S 780 The Promoting Automotive Repair, Trade, and Sales Act or PARTS Act; Amends federal patent law to allow for the sale and use of non-OEM repair parts 30 months after a motor vehicle is first offered for public sale. We support these bills which will allow continued competition in the repair parts market, thus holding down auto repair and insurance costs for our policyholders.
