Support the Fair Elections Now Act, HR 1826 and S 752, providing for a voluntary system of financing congressional elections using a mix of small private donations and federal money. Support the request by Rep Jeff Flake to revise the House Ethics Manual to prohibit Members from being able to certify no financial interest in an earmark when they have recieved campaign contributions from the entity that would benefit from the earmark or those associated with it. Support the CLEAR Act, sponsored by Reps Hodes,
Giffords, and Perriello which would ban Members from accepting campaign contributions from any company's PAC, executives or lobbyists if they request an earmark for that company in that election cycle. Support efforts to stop additional funds for the F - 22. Support the full staffing of the House Committee on Standards of Official Conduct. Support an investigation by the House Committee on Standards of Official Conduct into the matter of the PMA Group without taking a position on the matter.
