Farm bill implementation focusing on revisions made to the dairy risk management program Dairy Margin Coverage program. Support of HR 1331, the Feed Emergency Enhancement During Disasters Act (FEEDD Act) to create an emergency waiver authority for the USDA Secretary to adjust the allowable cover crop harvest date for crops planted on prevented planting acres. Support the Cover Crop Flexibility Act of 2020, S 3479. Support the USDA Risk Management Agency adjusting the cover crop harvest for prevented planting acres. Support for USDA assistance in providing relief to dairy farmers for the COVID-19 impacts to dairy, types of assistance include direct financial assistance, dairy product food purchases, and regulatory flexibility to ensure people are able to access dairy products in food assistance programs even if those products do not meet nutritional, labeling and packaging requirements. Support of dairy in the Coronavirus Food Assistance Program (CFAP) and ensuring equal treatment of dairy farms regardless of size.
