Urged lawmakers to provide robust investment for our nation's surface transportation infrastructure and the need to ensure the Highway Trust Fund's future solvency through new user fees.
Urged Congress to complete a multiyear, surface transportation authorization bill prior to MAP-21's expiration (Sept. 30, 2014).
Supported the TRUE Safety Act (H.R. 3413), legislation to delay implementation of federal hours-of-service regulations until the Government Accountability Office conducts an independent assessment of the methodology the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration used to determine the new rules.
Educated Congress about the construction equipment industry impact of the Highway Trust Fund's pending collapse and the need to immediately address the issue.
Supported the Highway and Transportation Funding Act of 2014 (H.R. 5021) to ensure the Highway Trust Fund's solvency through spring 2015.
Urged lawmakers to increase Highway Trust Fund user fees.

viability of the Highway Trust Fund.
Lobbied to prevent repeal of last in, first out (LIFO) accounting method.
Urged lawmakers to make lower effective tax rates for S-Corps and pass-throughs a key component of tax reform legislation.
Opposed proposals to repeal the use of like-kind excanges for construction equipment.
Urged Congress to permanently repeal the estate tax.
Urged lawmakers to simplify the tax code to create an environment conducive for entrepreneurship and business risk-taking and investment, but avoid policies harmful to equipment distributors, such as dramatically extending depreciation periods.
Urged Congress and the Internal Revenue Service to remedy the unintended consequences the Affordable Care Act's 3.8 percent tax on unearned income will have on distributors that rent and sell construction equipment.
