H.R. 2507 - Increasing Regulatory Fairness Act of 2015 - Amends Medicare Part C (Medicare Advantage) to direct the Department of Health and Human Services to make data-driven policies with regard to Medicare Advantage in consultation with OACT. Issues related to the development of risk adjustment factors are of particular interest.
H.R. 2579 - Securing Care for Seniors Act of 2015 - Issues related to evaluating risk scores, rationale for removing diagnosis codes related to Chronic Kidney Disease and establishing data-driven baselines for establishing and reevaluating risk scores.
Issues focused on ESRD and Risk Adjustment for chronically ill patients and related work being conducted by the Senate Finance Committee.
CMS policies related to Medicare Advantage with specific focus on the formula asserted for the Medicare Advantage Risk Adjustment factor and its impact on beneficiaries, plans and providers who serve Medicare Beneficiaries who live with multiple chronic conditions.
