Comment to numerous CFPB (a Bureau of Federal Reserve System) Requests for Information (RFIs): Need for public consumer complaint database, remittances, prepaid card rule, credit card rules, adjudication, rulemaking process, debt collection rules, enforcement activities, etc. Urge all prudential bank regulators and CFPB not to rescind rules restricting deposit advance products (bank payday loans). Support a clean budget without policy riders, particularly financial riders, including policies against the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. Oppose S2155, Economic Growth, Regulatory Relief, and Consumer Protection Act (Crapo), in House, Senate and before President. Oppose HR4508, PROSPER Act (Foxx). Oppose HR4439, Modernizing Credit Opportunities Act(Hollingsworth). Oppose parts, including Section 202, of HR5444, Taxpayer First Act (Jenkins) which would prohibit IRS from offering free tax prep and filing options. Support parts of the bill. Oppose all financial services policy riders in Financial Services and General Government Appropriations bills, including to place independent CFPB under appropriations, create separate CFPB inspector general with reduced independence, weaken CFPB or Dodd-Frank Act in any other ways. Oppose S.2155, including highlighting the ways the Credit Bureaus benefit from the Dodd-Frank rollback bill.
