H.R. 6130, Helping Startups Continue to Grow Act. Support.
Unlocking Small Business Access to Capital Act, H.R. 6127: Support.
Other issues: Continue to advocate for reforms to improve the rules governing equity and debt-based crowdfunding.
TAX REFORM & TAX POLICY
H.R. 3717, Small Business Tax Simplification Act of 2017. Continue to support legislation.
Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, Section 199A, 20% Small Business Deduction: Supportive of proposed regulations by the Internal Revenue Service.
Deferred Section 965 Tax Liabilities. Urged the Internal Revenue Service/Treasury Department to revise relevant guidance to allow taxpayers with deferred 965 tax liabilities to choose how their tax overpayments are applied.
REGULATORY REFORM AND MODERNIZATION
Continue to support reforms that make the regulatory process more transparent, accountable and that provide for meaningful input from small businesses. Also support: cost-benefit analysis, look-back provisions, and sunsetting.

Support forthcoming action by the National Labor Relation Board on the joint employer standard.
Privacy Regulation: Urging the Congress to design and advance one national rule for data privacy.
Terminal Dues Rates Set by the Universal Postal Union (UPU): Supportive of the Trump Administrations actions to bring parity to U.S. small businesses by reforming the rates paid by overseas shippers.
Center for Medicaid and Medicare Services Proposed Rule, Medicare Programs, International Pricing Index (IPI) Model for Medicare Part B Drugs: Submitted comments in opposition to the IPI model, which imports price controls.
Small Business Runway Extension Act (H.R. 6630/S. 3562): Supported House and Senate passage and the signing into law.
Support Federal Communication Commission (FCC) action (on TV White Spaces) to dedicate at least three usable channels (below 700 MHZ) to remain available in markets across the country to increase access to broadband.
HEALTH CARE REFORM
Continue to support reform efforts to fix provisions of the Affordable Care Act (ACA) that are driving costs higher and making the marketplace less competitive for entrepreneurs and small businesses. Including:
Repeal of taxes within the ACA including the Health Insurance Tax (HIT Tax), net investment tax and Cadillac tax. Also support repealing the employer mandate and liberalizing the mandates and types of coverage required of health plans.
SJ Res. 63, Disapproval of Short Term, Limited Duration Insurance Rule: Opposed SJ Res. 63
Health Insurance Tax (HIT): Advocated for the extension of the 2019 moratorium of the HIT through 2020 and 2021.
Health Reimbursement Accounts (HRAs): Supportive of the proposed regulations advanced by the Department of Labor to improve HRAs.
INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
Continue to educate and advocate on the importance of protecting and strengthening IP for small businesses.
Small Business Innovation Act (H.R. 2655/S.971). Supported House and Senate passage and the Presidents signature into law.
The STRONGER Patents Act of 2017 (S.1390 and H.R. 5340). Support the legislation.
TRADE & GLOBAL MARKETS
Continue to support trade expansion and trade agreements to open overseas markets to small businesses.
United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA): Supported President Trumps signing of the agreement and support Congressional approval of the accord.
Trade Agreement with Japan, EU and Great Britain: Supportive of Administrations intentions to negotiate agreements with the three entities.
Tariffs: General education aimed at Congress and Administration about the impact of tariffs on small businesses and the economy.
