- Briefed staff members (majority and minority) on the House Science Committee and the Senate Commerce Committee about the need to select a lead agency for civil and commercial Space Traffic Management, as well as to adequately fund that lead agency.

- Submitted response to a Request for Information on public access to federally funded research. AIAA opposes any executive action that would eliminate the 12-month publishing embargo of such research because it would significantly harm the peer-review process that helps ensure the quality and integrity of scientific research. The Institute calls on the administration to allow federal agencies to continue developing their own plans to ensure public access (as required by a February 2013 OSTP Memorandum).
