Urge the administration to strengthen the federal coal program [DOI]
Oppose H.R. 5259, which would cut short the much needed review of our nations coal program and the important reforms put forward by the Department of Interior.
Support for the Obama administrations Climate Action Plan, specifically the Clean Power Plan, which sets the first national limits on carbon pollution from power plants.
Call for strong reforms to the federal coal leasing program overseen by the Department of the Interior, support DOIs ONRR proposed rule to eliminate captive transactions for federal coal leases and support strengthening the final rule, and call for the rejection of Alton Coals proposal to expand production on public lands.
Support the Department of Energy setting increased efficiency standards for gas furnaces and oppose legislative efforts to delay them, including the relevant section of S.2012, the Energy Policy Modernization Act of 2015.
Support Senate Amendment 2965 to S.2012, the Energy Policy Modernization Act of 2015, which would increase funding for ARPA-E
Support Senate Amendment 3115 to S.2012, which would establish a national energy efficiency resource standards (EERS).
Raise significant concerns with S. 2012, the Energy Policy Modernization Act.
Oppose House Amendment to S.2012, the Energy Policy Modernization Act.

Urge Congress to oppose the inclusion of any ideological policy riders in spending legislation to address the urgent threat of Zika, including any language that undermines safeguards protecting communities from toxic pesticides in waterways.
Oppose S.764, legislation on GMO labeling
Support federal aid to the community of Flint, Michigan in response to the lead contamination
Urge EPA to consider our views on two upcoming rulemakings-on risk evaluation and prioritization-that the agency plans to conduct under the newly enacted Frank R. Lautenberg Chemical Safety for the 21st Century Act.
Oppose Senate Amendment 2996 to S.2012, which would require federal agencies to eliminate an existing public protection before offering a new one.
Oppose the Denying Americans the Right to Know (DARK) Act, which would prohibit states from being able to require the labeling of genetically modified organisms (GMOs).
Oppose H.R.712, the Sunshine for Regulatory Decrees and Settlements Act of 2015, which would weaken environmental protections by undermining the federal rulemaking process.
Oppose H.R.2406, the SHARE Act of 2015, which contains harmful measures undermining the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA).
Support international climate agreement reached in Paris in December 2015.
Oppose S. 2609, the Denying Americans the Right to Know Act, which would restrict consumers right to know about genetically modified organisms in their food.
Oppose S.2533, the California Long-Term Provisions for Water Supply and Short-Term Provisions for Emergency Drought Relief Act.
Oppose H.Con.Res 89, which condemns the use of a carbon tax as a policy mechanism.

Call for the strengthening of the Clean Air Acts Regional Haze Rule [EPA]
Urge EPA to issue strong and consistent National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) regulations because they are essential to meeting the original intent of the Clean Water Act to ultimately eliminate water pollution in order to restore and maintain the physical, chemical and biological integrity of the Nations waters.
Support the EPA and Army Corps of Engineers Clean Water Rule, which would clarify which waters deserve protection under the Clean Water Act, and oppose all Congressional attempts to block or undermine the rule, including S.J.Res.22, the Congressional Review Act Resolution of Disapproval.
Oppose H.R. 1644, the STREAM Act, a bill that blocks protections for drinking water in mining communities.
Oppose H.R.3797, the SENSE Act, which would weaken clean air protections for power plants burning coal refuse or waste.
Support S. 2588, the Grants and Education To Tackle Homeowner Exposure to Lead Ensuring America Drinks Only from Unpolluted Taps Act of 2016 (GET THE LEAD OUT Act of 2016), S. 2587, the Copper and Lead Evaluation and Reporting Act of 2016 (CLEAR Act), S. 2586, the Thorough Evaluation of State Testing to Kick-start Investigations before Damage is Suffered Act of 2016 (TEST KIDS Act), and S. 2583, the Firm, Unwavering National Dedication to Water Act of 2015 (FUND Water Act), that would address the problem of lead contamination in our nations drinking water.
Oppose H.R.5055, the FY2017 House Energy and Water Appropriations bill, which cuts clean energy funding and contained a slew of riders harmful to the environment.
Oppose H.R.4775, the Ozone Standards Implementation Act, which would gut the EPAs updated ozone standards. Support pro-environment amendments (Polis #2, Norton #3, Pallone #5, Rush #7) and oppose anti-environment amendments (Whitfield #1).
Oppose S. 2822 & S. 2072, bills the legislatively undermine the EPAs updated ozone standards.
Support Senator Cardins package of legislation to address water quality, drinking water, and public health needs, as well as the House companions (H.R. 4797 and H.R. 4806).
Support S. 2821, the TRUE LEADership Act, which aims to reduce lead exposure and poisoning in our air, water, homes, and communities.
Oppose extension of the comment period for the Department of Transportations National Performance Management Measures, which requires agencies to estimate the pollution due to transportation plans.

Urge President Obama to ensure no new leases in the Gulf of Mexico are included in the 2017 - 2022 Outer Continental Shelf Oil and Gas Leasing Program and immediately initiate a plan to pursue a just transition away from the fossil fuel economy and toward a clean energy economy for this region.
Oppose the American Energy and Conservation Act of 2016, S. 3110, which expands revenue sharing from new offshore oil and gas drilling on the Outer Continental Shelf.
Oppose all efforts to undermine the Antiquities Act of 1906, including S. 437, S.1416, and S. 3317
Support the designation of new national monuments, including the Papahānaumokuākea Marine National Monument, Katahdin Woods and Waters National Monument, and the New England Coral Canyons and Seamounts National Monument
Oppose legislative efforts to undermine public lands protections, including attacks on the Antiquities Act such as those contained in the Lee Amendment 3023 to S.2012, and efforts to sell off public lands.
